HISTORY: (There is an extensive description and some newspaper articles on the site as well as videos and photos.)
In July of 2011, Mrs. Cynthia Artin suggested to Prof. David Musial that he has his “Smart Trax Media, LLC” Positive Message, Educational Media Company, create, produce and record 11 songs which in their own way, say “Thank You” to Soldiers. She suggested that it be released on 11/11/11 “Veterans Day”, and call it “Project Eleven”. This was a nice, but ambitious concept. A collection of creative students from Stevens Institute decided to volunteer some time to this venture instead. On 11/11/11 a concert was held to launch the Project. A 21 year old Canadian (with an America Performance VISA) composed the first song, and 3 of his friends in the band “SpeckTrum” recorded it in time for this concert. It is titled “Ocean Avenue” and is dedicated to soldiers in the Navy & Marines. (Brady grew up on a small island.) Noriel Valdes, the Assistant Producer for Project Eleven, and Jax Berlin from Minnesota, were interviewed live on FOX TV News. Tamar Boodaghians was interviewed live on NJ 12 TV News.
In January the college students completed their contributions. In February, Musial was invited to have two floats in the National Memorial Day Parade for Project Eleven in Washington. At this time, the venture was in a “hiatus” so Musial took it back over and let Smart Trax Media Associates/Musicians/Composers complete the venture.
On May 26, 2012 the bands “SpeckTrum” & “Perception” and “Joy Medina” one of the original singers on the anthem “Brave New American Heroes” performed on the flight deck of the U.S.S WASP Navy Ship in the Hudson River for “Fleet Week”. It was a live national radio broadcast on the “David Webb Show” on SIRIUS XM! The Music Video for “Heroes”, produced by Musial, was inducted into the 9/11 National Registry in 2007 and received positive letters from Mayor Bloomberg and First Lady Laura Bush while she was in the White House.
A concert was proposed on 9/11/12 on “Pier A” in Hoboken and then on the “Exchange Place” Pier in Jersey City, but both were not realized.
Album Release
On Tuesday 9/11/12 Smart Trax Live Show, (501,C,3 Non-Profit) will launch the 11 song album via CD Baby to all kinds of digital download sites like iTunes, Amazon, etc. It will be priced at $11.11 (if possible) and ALL of the proceeds from this site will be donated to charities selected by the composers/artists/producers. Most are looking at the “Wounded Worriers” foundation. Michael Manning selected the “Disabled American Veterans” foundation. We are hoping to share excerpts of the songs on SIRIUS XM Radio again on 9/11/12.
